ELKINS — The Gandy Dancer Theatre will begin its 14th season on the weekend of May 17 with the Tribute to Musical Legends Dinner Show on Friday and the Premier Dinner Show on Saturday, May 18.

“It seems like yesterday when we opened for our first season,” G’na Stephens, the CEO of the Gandy Dancer Theatre, said. “I was here when we broke ground, and when we struggled through the pandemic, but we are blessed that we have come out of all of that and bring to the Elkins/Randolph County area a place that brings laughter, a few tears and a whole lot of fun!’

The Gandy Dancer has an incredible band — the Mountain Memories Show Band — that features music genres from Country, Gospel, Pop, Rock, Patriotic and more.

The Tribute to Musical Legends Show is music from all the artists you’ve come to love from the past and the present. The Premier Show celebrates the joy of music and dance. The beautiful Gandy Dancers are a wonderful touch of artistry and talents.

With an array of costumes, the dancers, with lead lady singers Nina Sharp and Hannah Shiflett, dazzle the stage with their energy and talent. Also gracing the stage are the great musicians and singers. Rocky Hebb, Greg Thompson, David Stump, Clint Davidson, Aaron Baker; and only on the Tribute to Musical Legends Show will you see the one and only Tator Tom, played by Tom Singleton and Ralph Bennett. What a lineup of talent!

The Gandy Dancer also has Specialty Shows. May 31 and June 1 is the Murder Mystery Dinner Show, “Death by Chocolate.” Full-on laughter and intrigue, this cast brings you an evening that keeps you guessing until the end.

Then it’s August and that means ELVIS! August 2 and 3, Elvis is in the house presenting the best of Elvis by Robert Keefer. November 1 and 2, the Second Murder Mystery Dinner Show starts with “Murder on the Caribbean Isle.”

Then it’s Christmas and what better way to celebrate with your family than to join in for the Mountain Memories Christmas, starting the day after Thanksgiving, through December 22.

And the year wouldn’t be complete without the Rockin’ New Year’s Eve with Elvis. This show is almost sold out, so there will be a New’s Year’s Day with Elvis, matinee show on January 1.

So, if you’re looking for a year full of entertainment, call the box office at 304-636-4935 to make your reservations. You can also go online to book your tickets and click on the digital brochure at www.GandyDancerTheatre.com.
